Finance
Within the finance department there are the following sections: Coordination office, Budget, Salary, Revenue, Cash office, Accounts.
Functions
The sector is charged with the following roles and functions:
1. To mobilize and increase local revenue collection.
2. To increase and widen the base of other revenue collection.
3. To strengthen management, control and accountability of the district Funds.
4. To build and strengthen participatory planning in the district.
5. To coordinate district information system.
6. To strengthen planning, monitoring and coordination of district programmes.
7. To promote awareness on development and population issues in the district.
8. To Analyze and disseminate information.
9. To coordinate the efforts of lower local governments and sectors towards Compliance with legal and statutory requirements
10. To create a reliable, up to-date, efficient and comprehensive planning Information management system
11. To advise on strategies to pursue a vibrant socio-economic performance.
